What Will You Get From This Tour?

First, the car and tour guide will pick you up at the headquarters from your accommodation in Phong Nha town. After that, the local tour guide will provide you with a specific itinerary and safety as well as environmental protection rules. Then, we depart to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park by car to start the tour.

You will trek about 30 minutes up a steep slope to reach the entrance of Elephant Cave. Although Elephant Cave is short, it is quite large, with myriad enchanted beautiful stalactites. In particular, Elephant Cave has two entrances with two very different shapes with their own unique beauty. Besides, the cave is also a shelter for Vietnamese soldiers during times of war as well as march in times of peace.

You will be genuinely amazed by the majestic beauty of nature here. After exploring 300 meters of Elephant Cave, you will continue your journey to the beautiful Ma Da Lake, immersing yourself in the cool turquoise water of the natural lake.

Next, you will enjoy a delicious lunch of grilled meat and wild vegetables beside the romantic Ma Da Lake. Then, camp right next to the clear turquoise lake and enjoy a good night’s sleep amidst the wild mountains and forests.

Your second day’s journey will continue with the Tra Ang Cave exploration – a pristine cave with a cool green underground river winding. Thus, this is also an ideal cave for you to take photos to preserve for yourself the wonderful moments of your trip.

You will enjoy another delicious BBQ before climbing over large rocks to reach the cave entrance. Next, you will explore the 600m cave length by swimming. Then, you will trek back to the Ho Chi Minh trail and end the tour.

MA DA VALLEY JUNGLE CAMPING 2 DAYS DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Elephant Cave – Ma Da Valley

8:00 am: Our tour guide and car will pick you up at your accommodation in Phong Nha. After that, we transfer you to the headquarters.

8:30 am: The guide will provide information about the route and safety and environmental protection regulations in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park for you.

9:30 am: We depart by private car along Road 20 Victory. It is a vital traffic route of the historic Ho Chi Minh Trail during the Vietnam War against the Americans.

10:00 am: After reaching the starting point of trekking, we trek deep into the jungle to explore the Elephant cave.

10:30 – 12:00: We explore Elephant Cave and enjoy the lunch.

1:00 pm: After lunch, we continue hiking to explore the unspoiled Ma Da valley.

2:30 pm: Upon arrival at Ma Da Lake, we relax, bathe, and swim into Ma Da Crystal Lake with turquoise water, which is very beautiful. Enjoy the pristine life amidst the jungle.

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Prepare camping gear to camp by the Ma Da lake.

6:00 pm – 9:30 pm: Have dinner, talk to each other and then go to sleep.

Day 2: Ma Da valley – Tra Ang Valley – Road 20 Victory – Phong Nha

8:45 am: We continue the Ma Da valley camping tour by trekking from Ma Da Lake through the jungle.

10:00 am: We will arrive at the Tra Ang valley. After climbing over many large rocks, we will reach the Tra Ang cave entrance.

10:30 am – 11:30 am: Next, we will explore Tra Ang Cave by swimming 600m from the entrance deep inside the cave. This will be a memorable experience for you.

2:00: We have lunch by the Tra Ang stream.

1:00 pm: Then, we trek along Tra Ang stream back to Road 20 Victory.

2:30 pm: Arrive at Road 20 Victory and enjoy cold drinks.
