BIKING ON HO CHI MINH TRAILS DETAILED ITINERARY

In the morning

08:00-08:30: Our local guide will pick you up at your homestay or hotel in Phong Nha Town. After that, we go to the tour’s starting point and our guide will instruct you on safety regulations when joining the tour.

08:45 am: We cycle depart for Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.

Firstly, we will pass the local corn and rice fields. Then, we cycle along Son River to explore Na Village, a floating fishing farm. You will stop here to learn about the local culture, and how the villagers grow rice and feed their fish on the river.

Then, we will stop at a local jungle man’s house – Mr.Ho Khanh to learn about his caving passion. He was the first person who discovered Hang Son Doong in 1990 – the World’s largest cave. Currently, he is working as the porter leader of the Hang Son Doong Cave tour. Hence, you can take a photo with this world-famous man.

Next, we continued to bike through a nice peanut field before reaching Ho Chi Minh Original Trail. During the war against the Americans, this trail was convenient for soldiers to move and transport supplies from the North to battlefields in the South of Vietnam. You will learn more about it from our tour guide during the Phong Nha biking tour.

Note: Please ensure your hands are steady enough to conquer this tough trail. We will cross another muddy path through the peanut fields along the Chay River to reach HCM HW (West Wing).

In the afternoon

At noon, you will enjoy lunch at Chay Lap Farmstay or Nuoc Mooc Spring, where an eco-trail leads you to an unspoiled swimming lake with clear water in the jungle.

Last but not least, in the biking tour on Ho Chi Minh Trails, we cycle to cross the Chay River over a wooden bridge to visit Wine Cave. It is where the V.C. made rice wine while avoiding bombs from U.S. aircraft. Thus, there also remains a symbol of peace inside this cave.
