Pick-up – Son River – Phong Nha Cave

8:00 – 9:00 AM: Our driver and tour guide will pick you up at your accommodation in Dong Hoi city center or Phong Nha town. After that, we will start the journey to explore Phong Nha Cave.

After nearly 1 hour of driving, we arrived at the Son River boat station and took a boat to Phong Nha Cave.

Then, we will arrive at Phong Nha cave after 25 minutes by boat on the Son river and have 2 hours to explore the cave. Your heart will be completely conquered by stalactites and stalagmites such as “Lion”, “Fairy Cave”, “Buddha”, etc.

Our knowledgeable tour guide will explain the name meaning of those special stalactites and stalagmites interestingly, along with the cave’s geological history, making your visit memorable.

Lunch – Dark Cave – Chay River

After leaving the Phong Nha cave, we will enjoy a delectable lunch with local specialties at a local restaurant before exploring the Dark Cave in the afternoon.

After the lunch break, we continued exploring the Chay River and Dark Cave.

Firstly, you start discovering the Dark Cave by a high aerial zipline across the Chay River to reach the Dark Cave. You will be equipped with a flashlight helmet and necessary devices to discover the unique stalactites and stalagmites. They will sparkle when you shine a light on them.

Additionally, you will have a great experience in the Dark Cave with the natural mud bath. The more you go deep inside the mud bath area, the path will be smaller, with 1m only and quite slippery. Hence, you must move slowly to ensure safety.

When you put mud on your body, your whole body will automatically float, making you feel extremely magical and excited about this unique experience. After the mud baths, you will walk out to Thuy Tien Lake and Bong Lai Lake inside the cave to wash the mud clearly.

Then, you will enjoy many exciting activities in the Chay River, such as kayaking, swimming, short zipline aerial trapeze wires to drop yourself off amid the river, etc. You will feel comfortable with the gentle flow in the unique turquoise water at a cool 18-20 Celcius.
