HANG PYGMY EXPLORATION 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT TOUR
The journey will start by trekking 20 km through various terrains in the jungle. Therefore, you must be physically strong enough to overcome many rocky terrains. Besides, you must swim through underground rivers, swing from a height of 100m, climb mountains, etc.
In this journey, you will conquer two consecutive caves: Hang Over Cave, with a length of 3,244 meters, and Pygmy Cave ( 845 meters). Additionally, you are accompanied by countless experiences, such as walking in the middle of the green forest, swinging in a cave, and camping inside the Pygmy Cave.

HANG PYGMY EXPLORATION DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Hang Over Cave – Pygmy Cave
In the morning
8:00 am: Our driver and tour guide will pick you up at your homestay or hotel in Phong Nha town. Then, we will drive you to the Headquarters. After that, the tour guide will introduce you to the itinerary briefing as well as regulations on safety and environmental protection.
8:30 am: After that, we start our hang Pygmy exploration by car along 20 Quyet Thang road to km24 – the starting point of trekking through the forest.
10:00 am: We arrive at kilometer No.24 on Victory Road and begin your journey through the forest to explore the Phong Nha – Ke Bang primeval forest system. The path is quite strenuous, with constantly changing slopes. You will walk through small paths in the deep forest.
Along the way, the tour guide will also give you information about the lives of local people and the cultural practices of the Arem ethenic minority who once lived in this area. In addition, the survival skills of indigenous people are also shared so you can gain more experience for your journey.
12:00: Arrive at the top of Wind slope, where you will enjoy the continuous wind blowing, creating a refreshing feeling after a hard time wandering through the forest. We will have lunch and rest here to have enough energy for the afternoon.
In the afternoon
1:00 pm: After lunch, we will trek down the Wind Slope. Then, we cross a few more small slopes to reach Lươn Slope, a short but quite slippery and deep slope.
2:00 pm: We arrive at Lươn Slope and take a short break before trekking to Hang Over Cave.
2:30 pm: At the entrance of Over Cave, we will prepare safety equipment to explore this 3.2km long cave. We will pass through giant stalactites with different shapes, and you will reach a vast space called Massive Attack. This area is beautiful, with many different species of stalactites located in a cave dome up to 125m wide and more than 80m high. Hence, this is a great place to capture beautiful photos for your trip.
4:00 pm: Continue your journey to exit Hang Over Cave and reach the sinkhole behind Pygmy Cave. This is a giant sinkhole that divides Pygmy Cave and Over Cave, and it contains a large primeval forest right inside.
After going through the forest in the sinkhole, you will begin your journey to explore Pygmy Cave by following the abseiling safety gear to climb to the Dinosaur passage in the middle of the cave. Then, we will abseil about 10 meters down the cave and walk to the Pygmy Cave entrance. This is where we will camp overnight.
5:00 pm: Arriving at the entrance of Pygmy cave, you will continue to explore around and take great pictures with Pygmy cave. On the other hand, the Porter team will prepare the camp and dinner for you.
6:30 – 9:30 pm: We enjoy dinner with a beautiful night view, share experiences and personal stories, and then go to bed.
Day 2: Pygmy Cave – Jungle Trekking – Road 20 Victory – Phong Nha
8:00 am: Have breakfast at the campsite and pack up your belongings to prepare to leave.
9:00 am: Take beautiful photos together at Hang Pygmy Cave.
9:30 am: Leave the Pygmy Cave to continue your journey to conquer the green forest. You will come to a majestic system of consecutive limestone mountains and valleys. The walking journey is quite arduous and challenging with many steep slopes.
10:30 am: We will reach the Cỏ slope – a quite steep slope. If it rains, you may be lucky to encounter shallow streams and beautiful waterfalls. Then, at 12:00, we will stop for lunch along the way trekking.
2:00 pm: Arrive at 20 Quyet Thang Street, enjoy a cold drink and then your private car driver will pick you up and return to the Headquarters.
