It’s amazing to explore the fourth largest cave on the planet with a tropical jungle inside – Pygmy Cave. Plus, admire Kong Collapse – one of the deepest sinkholes on earth, 450 m deep. The caves are masterpieces that nature can create, with otherworldly landscapes.
You’ll go through the rainforest inside Pygmy Cave before setting up camp underground. Besides, you will be overwhelmed by the giant stalagmites and statuesque stalactites rising from the ground and hanging from the ceiling like an alien creature.

TIGER CAVE SERIES ADVENTURE DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Tiger Cave – Kong Collapse
In The Morning
8:00 – 8:30 am: We will pick you up from your homestay or hotel in Phong Nha town.
9:00 am: Upon arrival at our headquarters, our excellent tour guide will brief you on the safety regulations.
9:30 am: After that, our private car driver and guide will transfer you for around 45 minutes along Road 20 Victory to the trekking place.
10:15 am: We start hiking through the jungle on a rugged terrain trail with a blend of soil pathways and rock passages. On the trekking route, the guide will also tell you about the lives of local people and the cultural practices of the Arem people – an ethnic minority who once lived in this area.
In addition, the survival skills of indigenous people are also shared so you can gain more experience for your adventure journey.
12:30: We have lunch after trekking to the top of the Wind slope.
In The Afternoon
1:00 pm: Start trekking again for about two more hours up and down the hill through the tropical jungle to reach the lower entrance of Tiger Cave.
3:00 pm: After reaching the lower entrance of the Tiger Cave, we will prepare to swim through the downstream passage of Tiger Cave to reach Kong Collapse, where your campsite is.
Note: In case of high water levels that are unsafe to swim, we will take the upper passage to trek to Kong Collapse.
3:30 pm: We swim 300m through the lower passage of Tiger cave.
4:00 pm: Arrive at Kong Collapse by the end of the passage.
4:00 – 5:00 pm: We will prepare the campsite in front of the Kong Collapse.
5:30 pm: Have dinner at the campsite and enjoy the beautiful night in one of the deepest sinkholes on earth, with many stars in the sky.
9:30 pm: We will sleep to prepare for the second day.
Day 2: Authentic 5.5km Tiger Cave Series Adventure
In The Morning
This is the most fantastic day to explore the beauty of underground stalactites and stalagmites.
8:00 am: Wake up for breakfast at the campsite.
9:00 am: We officially explore the Tiger Cave, Hang Over Cave, and Pygmy Cave.
9:00 – 11:00 am: We will explore the upper passage of Tiger Cave by climbing many over boulders and passing some rivers inside the cave.
11:30 am: After arriving at the Swift exit of Tiger Cave, we trek through the jungle inside the doline between Tiger Cave and Hang Over Cave.
12:00: We have a picnic lunch at the Hang Over cave’s entrance.
12:30: After lunch, we will explore 3.2 km of Over Cave. This will be a long time in the darkness while walking inside a huge cave. Thus, the flashlight will be equipped to help you explore this large cave.
In The Afternoon
1:30 pm: Arrive at Massive Attack inside Hang Over cave, you will overwhelmed since it is 125m wide and 80m high. Moreover, there are a lot of unique stalactites, stalagmites, and rock blocks. Hence, this is an ideal place for stunning photo albums.
1:30 – 3:00 pm: We will explore the Massive Attack space and walk to the exit of Hang Over Cave to reach the second doline between Over Cave and Pygmy Cave. Remarkably, there is a large jungle inside the cave, so we must walk for about 20 minutes.
3:20 pm: Arrive at the exit of Hang Pygmy cave and start exploring the fourth largest cave on the planet with a transverse line of 80m along the edge of formations.
3:45 pm: We will move to the top of Dinosaur Spike passage in Pygmy Cave. Afterward, abseil for about 10m to drop down on the Hang Pygmy.
4:00 pm: After reaching the main entrance of Pygmy Cave, which is 100m high and wide, we will set up the camp at this huge entrance.
5:00 – 6:00 pm: You can take photos and enjoy the beautiful view from the cave entrance.
6:00 pm: We have dinner at the campsite and watch the beautiful night sky with myriad stars.
9:30 pm: Bedtime for everyone.
Day 3: Leave The Tiger Cave Series – Jungle Trekking – Phong Nha
8:00 am: Breakfast and cleaning up camp, then you will leave the cave system and begin the half-day trek home.
9:00 am: Start trekking out of the Pygmy cave entrance to reach different valleys and mountains. Thus, this will be a long trek out of the jungle with varying terrains full of challenges.
10:30 am: Arrive a “Doc Co” called Grass Slope, a slippery and steep hill. If it rains, you may have a chance to see some waterfalls on the way.
12:00: Enjoy some snack lunch will be provided during the trek. After a long trek in the jungle, we will enjoy a cold drink on the road before our car arrives to transfer you back to the headquarters.
