What To Expect?

Explore the majestic natural scenery: Your family will trek through 2 large and beautiful valleys, Tan Hoa Valley and La Ken Valley. These are farmlands surrounded by a range of limestone mountains and primeval forests.

Exploring Rat Cave: This cave has been operated for tourism in Tu Lan, Quang Binh, with many unique stalactite and stalagmite formations that make this cave look like a magnificent castle. Hence, this is a family tour for members to learn and explore the million-year-old cave together.

TU LAN FAMILY EXPERIENCE FULL-DAY ITINERARY

Morning: Phong Nha – Tan Hoa – Trek To Rat Cave Waterfall

7:00 – 7:30 am: Our car and driver will pick your family up at your hotel/homestay in Phong Nha town and transfer to the headquarters in Tan Hoa, 70km from Phong Nha. 

At the headquarters, our guide will provide a briefing about the rules and guidelines on trekking tours for children and the tour itinerary. Next, you will sign the Release Form, then pack your bag, and receive the safety equipment for the tour.

Then, we will begin the Tu Lan cave family experience tour by walking across green fields stretching 2.5km to reach the Rao Nan valley.

After admiring the valley’s stunning landscape, the family tour becomes more adventurous when members climb the slope to reach the Laken valley. It is the name of the Mua flower in the language of the Source people.

After trekking through the valley of flowers mixed with grass fields, your family will reach the waterfall area located at the exit of the Rat Cave. Then, we will enjoy lunch by the stream and participate in fun activities on the Tu Lan trekking tour for beginners. Hence, your family will practice using hammocks, learn how to make Cheo salt, and play games on the stream.

Afternoon: Explore Rat Cave – Phong Nha

After having lunch at Rat Cave Waterfall, we will hike up to the entrance of Rat Cave. Next, our guide and safety assistant will give you instructions on how to use the helmets and headlights. After that, we will climb down the rocky slope, assisted by the safety assistants, to explore the Rat Cave, which is 300 m long.

The Rat Cave is a tremendous cave with magnificent cave stalactites and stalagmites. Thus, we will use headlights to explore the cave, your kids will feel like real adventurers. Upon reaching the Rat cave exit, you will see the whole passage has light by the sunlight shining into the cave entrance.

Then, we leave Rat Cave, and the whole family will trek through the forest and wade across the Rao Nan River again to walk back to the headquarters.

At the office, your family can take a shower, relax, and admire the sunset in Tan Hoa with a cool drink.
